PITCHING INFORMATION.   Recommended ages for youth baseball players to learn to throw the following pitches:

  • Fast Ball - Age 8
  • Change up - Age 10
  • Curve ball - Age 14
  • Knuckle ball - Age 15
  • Slider - Age 16
  • Fork ball - Age 16
  • Splitter - Age 16
  • Screw ball - Age 17
Recommended ages for youth baseball players pitch count* limits:
